Relive the Russian experience
|
Here I am on our first full day in Moscow, standing in Red square. Behind me
to the left is the Kremlin.
To the left, Jenn and I pose in front of St. Basil's
Cathedral. On top, we pose with some crazy guy, what
we're reenacting I'm not so sure.
To the left, our
group during
our first night in
Moscow: Kim,
Jay, Jenn, me
and Sergey. To
the right, Kim
studies the odd
statue in the
lobby of the
hotel.
Enjoying Thanksgiving dinner at The
Ritz-Carlton Moscow. Atop: The best
dessert ever. Something to do with
pumpkin pie and ice-cream.
This is your brain
(the left). This is your
brain on vodka (the
right).

On our first night
we got a little
giddy at the
hotel's o2 bar,
then a little
sleepy. That's
nothing
compared to
night's following,
so beware.
Wait, you want to see monuments? Really? You must be new to the Snob Blog then. Anyway, here. There's
the outside of Lenin's tomb (shoot inside and they'll shoot you), St. Basil's Cathedral (which, according to
Jenn's man Alfred looks like it came out of an ice-cream machine or something), and the wall that guards the
Kremlin.
Here's some entertainment, Russian soldiers
hassling locals! "Papers, please" could very well be
the last thing you hear before a one way ticket to
the Gulag. To the right is something that intrigued
us: a man dressed up in a dirty costume of
something we're not quite sure of. We just referred
to him as "Homeless Grover," for what it's worth.
